It had been a surprisingly uneventful day on the job. The usual holiday flood had thinned back out almost abnormally quick, and the nightmare wasn't entirely sure if he found the sudden lull a relief or a disappointment. For reasons beyond him, he was finding himself more inclined to the latter.
